For me at least, the lag in Sins is mostly a CPU issue. :p You may need to try deploying capitalships near planets affected with hostile culture to help push it back until your culture can establish a foothold.ģ. The only time I noticed that was when the AI build 6 culture centers on one planet, in which case of course only one of your own would be insufficient. Hmm, the Advent and especially the loyalists/orthodox do have good culture bonuses, but it shouldn't be making your culture centers ineffective unless there was a ton of enemy culture centers. You'll only need to purchase them again if you titan is destroyed and rebuilt, but they do not expire.Ģ. I like playing the larger battles, but quite often I can only get so far. A bit of lag is expected, but persistent lockups render larger games unplayable for me.

I've seen this issue with vanilla games a few times too and am not blaming the mod, just wondering if there's anything that could improve how the game runs as it looks like the effects from ship weapons etc cause massive fps drop.

I know the 32 bit coding is an issue (equating to less possible RAM/CPU usage) too, but that's not really in the scope of something fixable and I'm definitely not trying to beat that dead horse (as it's referred to on the sins forums), regarding that. Is there a way to optimise my game to run better on the larger maps? I know it's likely more a hardware/game engine thing than anything else, but even on mid settings that my computer handles with ease I get drops to 0fps in larger maps eventually. What's a decent way to counter it/push it back to colonise a planet that was their territory (without resorting to suicide attacks on further planets to try kill the temples)? Playing as TEC I find that media centers don't really do much to counter the culture spread from Advent owned planets. Do the upgrades apply permanently or are they a temporary thing that has to be re applied?
